Common questions

  • Can I just come and have a look first?

Of course. The Garden is open any time, and the best time to catch the Garden Volunteers is at a Working Bee, Wednesday mornings or the second Saturday of the month. Come along, have a cuppa and check us out, or email us first and we will invite you to the next one. If it turns out we are not for you, no hard feelings.

  • Do I need to bring my own tools?

No, everything is provided: tools, seeds and equipment.

  • Do I need gloves?

You might prefer to bring your own, but we have some spare.

  • What should I bring?

Sturdy shoes, a sun hat, clothes you can garden in and a happy disposition.

  • Do I have to come every week?

Not at all. There is no roster, come along whenever it suits you.

  • Do I need gardening experience?

None. All ages, all abilities, all welcome.
